Mechanical Maintenance Technician

SUMMARY:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing various machine maintenance and repairs to ensure the efficient operation of our facilities. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills and the ability to work independently.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • -Conduct routine inspections of equipment and systems to identify any issues or malfunctions in machine operation

  • - Perform repairs and maintenance tasks

  • - Assist Production Manager in troubleshooting equipment problems and determine the best course of action for repair  and coordinate with outside vendors

  • - Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals

  • - Perform preventative maintenance tasks on a regular basis to ensure equipment longevity

  • - Respond promptly to maintenance requests from various departments

  • - Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all safety regulations and protocol
Requirements:
  • - High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or degree in a related field
  • -Strong Mechanical Aptitude
  • - Minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role (preferred)
  • -Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring, and circuits
  • -Experience and knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems
  • -Welding knowledge (a plus)
  • - Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • - Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • - Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
